My name is Elise Johnson
I’m writing this blog to share my unexpected but joyful journey of faith.
Five years into our relationship, Andrew told me that he wanted to become an Anglican priest. We both had steady jobs and were settling into our life together, so this was an unexpected turn.
It wasn’t long before I realized that this journey of faith was as much about me as it was about him. So I jumped off the diving board and into the deep end. Now we’re married and he’s in seminary.
For the long version of how this all happened, read my inaugural post, An Unexpected Journey.
If you’re wondering more about who I am, here are some random things that may help you get to know me better:
- I live in a tiny shoebox of an apartment in Toronto, Ontario
- I like to garden, cook, and read
- I love the Lord of the Rings (e.g. I often wear my Evenstar necklace, and last Halloween I went as Aragorn)
- I’m pro Oxford comma
- I can’t turn down a fresh croissant
- I love Great Big Sea
